Two Roads Wellness Associates, LLC, is the private practice of Erin O'Donnell, Psy.D.
Dr. O'Donnell specializes in children (including very young children), adolescents, young adults, and family care. With extensive experience in pre- and postnatal mood concerns, career stress, and managing health conditions. Although Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques are often utilized, the heart of the treatment is the therapeutic relationship. Dr. O'Donnell prioritizes that relationship by using an open, conversational style and empowering patients, even toddlers, to use their strengths and self-awareness to guide them on their journey of change.
Dr. O'Donnell has rich experience working with individuals and families from multicultural backgrounds. Honoring the strengths, differences and challenges those from diverse backgrounds experience is part of the foundation of her work. As a clinician who incorporates positive psychology techniques to assist in building resilience, Dr. O'Donnell encourages discussion about strengths from wherever they reside (e.g. family, community, ethnicity, faith, etc.).
With a background in community health and primary care psychology, Dr. O'Donnell takes a strong mind-body approach. Your physical health and psychological health are interwoven and both must be nurtured to thrive. If you, or your child, are looking to build healthier habits or manage the stress inherent to illness, we will work to help you achieve your goals in a collaborative manner.
As a mother of two young children, Dr. O'Donnell can validate the complex feelings that come with the lived experience of being a parent. From frustration with breastfeeding through sleep training, tantrums, and supporting your child in the school system, she can assist with Positive Parenting techniques and awareness that the best of techniques are messy and challenging when you are in the parenting trenches.
